Loopita

A conversation piece in the public space

The brief

People are social, they need to connect, share and live surrounded by other human beings, that is what make us what we are. Furniture should reflect that idea, the spaces where we live need to create this social interaction and promote it. Objects should evoque and make you wish to share and interact instead of extract and aisle from society.

The approach

The reconfigured bench, a deconstruction of a classic paradigm on how the seats at a park should be. By analyzing the way people really interact and rearranging the design factors of a simple bench we developed a more efficient way to create and develop social interaction through design, not only in a aesthetical way but in a clever system that provokes the user to share the furniture in a unique way.

The solution

Loopita is the social chaise longue, a place where you share not only a seat but a view, a book or a moment with a friend. Designed to create experiences in couples, a piece for conversations that becomes a public & private space at the same time through a sculptural and iconic shape.
